Hotel de la Coupole Sapa – MGallery Collection and Hanoi Studio Gallery Celebrate Heritage Days with “Upon the Mountain, Down on the Hill” Art Event

“Golden autumn settles over the fields, painting the hills in shades of gold, green and red.

It touches the terraced rice fields, dries the morning mist, and quietly carries the sunlight behind the hills.”

This September, Hotel de la Coupole Sapa invites guests, local communities and travellers to experience the spirit of Heritage Days through ”Upon the Mountain, Down on the Hill”, a month-long art exhibition presented in collaboration with Hanoi Studio Gallery.

The exhibition brings together five accomplished Vietnamese artists, whose distinctive practices and individual artistic voices offer different interpretations of landscape, human presence and memory. Together, their works create a layered dialogue between the natural world and the inner landscapes it evokes, inviting audiences to experience the landscape not only as a place, but also as a feeling, a memory and a source of imagination.

Since 1985, the beloved Heritage Days annual festival sees the opening of privately-owned historic sites, monuments, and cultural landmarks to the public, welcoming all to explore and marvel at Europe’s rich culture and history. Hotel de la Coupole Sapa’s Upon the Mountain, Down on the Hill is proud to join more than 120 MGallery Collection properties celebrating the captivating festivities across Europe and Vietnam
